Diversified Energy’s BPI Building Analyst Professional course aligns with the professional standards of excellence set forth by the Building Performance Institute (BPI). This BPI training will provide individuals with the knowledge, skills, and certification preparation needed to excel in the home energy performance industry.
This 5-day BPI Building Analyst course is a certification prep training course. Official BPI certification requires a passing grade on BPI’s written and field examinations.
When: Training will begin promptly on Monday, June 17th at 8:30am. There is a lot of material to cover so plan on being there each day until 4:30pm. The instructor will go over the agenda with you on Monday morning.
Exams: The online (written) exam will be offered Thursday afternoon June 20th, at 1:00pm. The field exams will be scheduled after the class has begun and each student will be assigned a test date and time for Friday, June 21st.
What to Bring: Photo I.D. (Required for Testing); comfortable clothing for hands-on training. (We will provide all testing equipment and course materials)
Your chances of passing both of these exams are greatly improved by studying each night during the training – and by familiarizing yourself, in advance if possible, with Building Science principles. Please study Residential Energy, by Krigger and Dorsi, before you arrive at the training if possible. It is the definitive work in our field, is easily readable, but is not required.
Please be on time! Again, passing this course may take additional study time after class hours.
BPI requires that we video/audio record your written and field exams.
Class/sign-in begins at 8:30am.
PLEASE PARK ALONG THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE BUILDING AT THE BACK OR BEHIND THE BUILDING INSIDE THE FENCED OFF AREA.
